Joey called Thursday! All is well in Great Lakes. We will be there in less than a week! We can't wait! He did very well during firefighting and the gas chamber... argh! What are they doing to the love of my life???? Anyway missing his family and friends!

Joey LOVES Bootcamp

Ok, all my wonderful friends. Sorry it has been so long. Joey called home last night! I miss him like crazy as do the kids. He misses us, and his time is flying buy. He has loved almost every bit of it. He does hate being away from us. He is the only guy I know who loves bootcamp while they are there.

Joey is safe and sound at boot camp. He is really enjoying his time in Il! We spoke for a good amount  of time today. Kayla was with  her grandparents, so she missed the call. But I am hoping everyone is good and he is able to call next week. He did talk to Penny Lou and Franklin. Franklin talked back... in baby gibber! Shoot me an email for those who want his address.... Joey made it to great lakes safe and sound! We spoke for just a little bit, then he had to go. But he said he might be able to write in about a week or so! And possibly call in a month! Can't wait. We have had little sleep, the kids are really missing their Daddy, I think it will get better soon! I have  had the girls in bed with me... but they are sleeping so that is good! Look for our next email.

Joey made it safe and sound to OKC.  He will go to Great Lakes tonight and call me when he gets there.... that will be the last time I talk to him for about 9 weeks! We all slept his first night away! First day pretty good and my BFF will be here on Friday!

Well, Joey leaves on Wed! So the count down has begun again! I am ready to get this part over! So I am in the mind set of BRING IT ON! Kayla's last day of school will be on Thursday. Then the summer is on! So many plans with great friends! Trips to the zoo, library, pools,splash pads! I can't wait. Please keep Joey in your prayers, he is very excited about his new adventure!

Well, I have not been on in a while! We had a small glitch with Joey's ship date, it has changed and worked in our favor! Joey now leaves May 27th! That puts him away till the end of Sept.  I had a wonderful Mother's Day! And I am thankful he was home to share it with me! I LOVE this man!!! I will keep everyone updated on his progress at boot camp, I will get a phone call when he gets there and then letters! 

Happy Birthday Kayla Lynn! Today is Kayla Lynn's birthday! I can  not believe she is ten! It is amazing how fast time goes by! She is a TWEEN today! It is funny because she thinks she only has one present to open... I only put one out! The others are in the closet and won't come out till tonight.

Well, it is down to one week till Joey heads to his first assignment. Great Lakes, well at least it is not freezing cold. We have so much to do to get ready. I have no idea where to begin. It is becoming very overwhelming. But I will be fine, Joey and the kids will be fine. I just have to wrap my mind around it all!

Well Franklin has finally done it! He is WALKING!!! He his on the move!! AMAZING and he is quite proud of himself. The joys of Motherhood! He could do it, he just didn't want to because Mommy and Sissy carry him all the time! (oops!) So he is off and running and loving his new found freedom! Next stairs! ARGH! 

Joey leaves in 11 days. So much to do and I am no where close to being ready. Thankful for friends who are watching out for me.... Love you all!

12 days till Joey goes to boot camp! It is closing in on me FAST... there is so much to do before he leaves! Clean out the garage, get the house ready! Getting the kids ready! Reminding Kayla she still has to go to school and that summer is not her yet, close but we still have a bit left to do! Crazy times!! Trying to get the kids on a schedule and failing miserably. HA HA! But it will be a fun summer with lots of bonding! Looking forward to some of our travels and Can't wait for San Antonio!

Joey now leaves in 15 days! It is very hard to believe! But the reality of raising 3 head strong kids by myself is kicking in! AGH! I know we will be fine. It is still a little overwhelming! My heart goes out to our family friends, Cindy! We are thinking about you at this time!!
